Banteay Srei

Khmer Temple More in Siem Reap

The one everyone says is the most beautiful, and they are right. Cut from pink sandstone in 967 AD, the carving is so fine and so deep it looks like woodwork. It is small and 25 km out from the main Angkor group, so pair it with a morning circuit and go early before the stone loses its colour in flat light.
